My name is Dana but on trail, they called me ‘Atlas’.
A problem-solver, a disciplinarian, a creative, a navigator, an innovator.
One who possesses knowledge, one who adapts, one who bears the weight and smiles while doing so. Blood, sweat, tears, persistence, and millions of steps carried me from Georgia to Maine on the Appalachian Trail and from Massachusetts to Canada on the Long Trail. Within those thousands of miles camaraderie, commiseration, sharing stories, appreciating simplicity, and finding beauty in the strangest of places pushed me forward too.
As an artist, my experiences on the trail have echoed and inspired my ideas regarding design. To be practical, concise, and intentional, but not afraid to be bold and take chances when need be. Above all, everything we create can tell a story. Read more of mine below.
